Our History

Our story begins 25 years ago. Pete Pino owned a tile installation company. It was a two-man operation and a dream. The company slogan was "Price, Quality and Service." Pete not only meant it, he made sure the business lived up to it.

Company standards dictated that work be completed on time, if not earlier. Qualified crews were assembled based on efficiency. Work was usually completed within a day. Satisfaction was guaranteed.

Customers told Pete he was like an octopus. They joked that he must have eight arms to get things done as quickly as he did. Soon, "Petey" was born and the octopus logo representing Pete's company began appearing on his uniforms and business cards.

Due to a high volume of customer requests, Pete expanded his operation and opened a retail tile company. Petey came along and the Pino Tile family was started. Today, adults and children alike recognize Petey. Price, Quality and Service are still the driving force behind Pino's value system. And with the addition of other products such as carpet, laminate, wood and cork, Pino Tile & Carpet is a flooring solutions empire that's unrivaled in Florida and in the industry.

In 2001, Pete felt it was time to pass the torch. It was important to him to keep the Pino reputation in tact. He sold the company to Ted Bohne, who currently serves as President. Pete's daughter, Elizabeth Pino, is Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. Even Petey continues to work hard. The transition couldn't have gone smoother.

Under Ted and Elizabeth's guidance, the business continues to make offering the lowest prices, biggest selection and superior customer service top priorities.
